As Hall of Fame breeders, we have produced 18 champions and finished several others not of our breeding. In addition Calvin, Tate, Vera, and Calvin’s dam, Hurricane Legacy Irish Red have been recognized as BCA Hall of Fame producers. We breed only occasionally, and with great care, to produce our next generation of show dogs.
While our goal of breeding is always to produce beautiful show specimens, we realize that most of our puppies go to pet homes, therefore along with beauty we expect that our dogs will have excellent health, and the wonderful, easy going, affectionate temperament that epitomizes the breed. Puppies are raised in the home with lots of love and attention, and all of our dogs receive the finest veterinary care available.
If you are interested in one of our puppies or older dogs as a pet, please read the information on this page about buying puppies, and understand that we do not sell puppies or dogs of either sex to be bred. Prospective buyers will be carefully screened and asked to complete a puppy application. All pet puppies are sold on limited registration/spay/neuter contracts. Only co-owned show prospects will be considered for breeding stock.
A word about buying our puppies
Our puppies, both show prospects and pets, are placed in carefully selected homes. We appreciate email interest generated by this site, but will want to speak personally, by phone, with anyone interested in purchasing a puppy.
Three important factors about buying puppies:
1. We DO NOT SHIP dogs or puppies. Buyers must come to get the animals–we feel it is very important to meet you and for you to meet us. We also want you to see where the puppy has been raised, and meet some of our other dogs, including the parent(s) on premises.
2. Show prospect puppies will be sold only to people known to us as established show homes or recommended as show homes. All show prospect pups will be sold on co-ownership contracts with specific terms determined individually.
3. All of our puppies not sold as show prospects are considered pets. Our pet puppies are sold on spay/neuter contracts with limited registration. If we do not feel that a puppy meets the standard well enough to be a show prospect, we do not believe that puppy should be bred.
